Are You Cleansing Your Face Every Morning and Night? Here Are 5 Reasons Why You Should

Your face is the most important part of your body. It is what presents you in front of the world. And much like you won’t go out with dirty wrinkled clothes, you shouldn’t leave your home before you have made your face presentable. It doesn’t take too much time, but the benefits of morning and evening cleansing of your face are enormous.

Your face is just like a business card. It shows your peers a lot about your personality, how trustworthy you are and how well do you take care of your body.  But cleansing your face every morning and every night is far more important than what others might think of you. Here are five reasons why you should always cleans your face before and after sleep. Keep in mind that rinsing is not washing. That means that splashing some water on your face won’t do the trick. You will need cleanser and here is why.

Whether we like it or not we are ageing every single day and that shows more or less on our looks. Our skin is the primary place where we can find evidence that we are aging. Thank god if we spend just three minutes of our time to cleanse our face we can minimize the external factors that contribute to ageing. And even more, we can stimulate the processes that fight aging.

Overnight there are a lot of processes that happen in our bodies, even though we are fast asleep. The skin, as do many of our organs, can tell the difference between daytime and nighttime. During the nighttime, while we are sleeping our skin starts a regenerative process during which DNA is repaired and the skin detoxifies itself. For this process to occur, the skin needs oxygen. When we go to bed with our makeup we deprive our face from getting this much needed oxygen. So cleansing your face before bed will help you not to look dull and colorless in the morning.

Furthermore during the night the blood flow in the vessels beneath your skin is highly increased. This means that during the night our skin absorbs much more ingredients from cosmetic products than during the day. So if you leave makeup your skin will probably absorb some of the ingredients that the product has, thus creating some real risk of inflammation or developing rashes. On the other hand, if you haven’t cleaned your makeup you can’t put anti-aging products or if you do, the skin on your face won’t be able to absorb it.

Even if you are not wearing makeup you’re not out of the woods yet. During the day sweating, going out in traffic, or just sitting still, fills your face with pollution, oils and dead skin cells. If you don’t cleans them before you go to bed, you will most certainly give those unwanted particles free access to your pores. During the night your pores spread wide open, and having uncleaned face may clog them, which will cause some visible problems on your face.

During the night your skin’s temperature rises and during this process a lot of water is lost. This causes dehydration, which in terms is why sometimes during the night our skin is more itchy. It’s just because it is dry. This is why it’s good for your skin to apply moisturizer before you go to bed. Of course you can’t do this if you don’t cleans your skin.

Cleansing your face only before you go to bed is not gonna make it for you. You’ll also have to raisen your skin in the morning. Don’t think that if you go to bed with clean face in the morning it will be as clean. As we told you above during the night you may be asleep, but your body and especially your skin is quite busy. This means that in the morning your face is covered with dead cells, ready to be cleaned off. More importantly there will be excess sebum to cleanse. Using only water will once again do you no good. Water alone can clean no more than 65% of the oils and various debris of your skin’s nighttime shift. This is why you need a good cleanser to first scrape of all that’s left behind and then to wash it off. Failing to do so and your skin will be oily and prone to acne, rashes and all kinds of inflammations.

So do yourself a favor and spare 6 minutes of your day, 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening, to help your skin. Trust us, it will return the favor.
