Beautiful and Healthy Skin is Only 5 Steps Away

The only true cloth you should care about is the one you will have all your life. Of course we are talking about the skin. You will wear it from the day you were born, to the day you will die. So it is crucial to take outstanding care of it and make no compromises with hygiene. Taking care of your skin is not that time-consuming and hard when you do it regularly and you have a routine. You shouldn’t make some elaborate routines that take 2-3 hours every morning. Instead you should follow just 5 simple rules that will make sure your skin stays great at all times.

Rule 1: This one you’ve probably heard it a million times, but it’s so important that we must include it in this list – PROTECT YOUR SKIN FROM THE SUN. We know that for many people summer is equal to sun tan. Many people even describe tanning as a hobby, which is absurd when you think of what the sun does to your skin. Prolonged exposure to the sun rays will bring you not only that bronze tan you love so much, but wrinkles and freckles as well. Not to mention, that as you get older the sun will make your age spots more visible and if you overdo yourself, you can easily make some irreversible damage or even get skin cancer. What you should do is always put sunscreen lotion before you go out in the summer. If you love it so much you can do some tanning but do not expose your body for more than 10 minutes at a time. Reapply the sunscreen every 2 hours. Each sunscreen lasts no more than 2-2,5 hours, so don’t be lazy and put it on.

Rule 2:  Eating Healthy is also something you are probably sick of hearing, but if you think about it there is really no wonder that healthy food is crucial to your skin’s health. You skin is composed out of proteins, as is most of your body, so consuming enough proteins is essential for having a wonderful skin. You can’t expect to eat only greasy junk food and not to have some serious skin problems. A healthy diet, composed of all nutrients, minerals and vitamins will ensure not only an outstanding appearance and perfect skin, but magnificent look and physical strength as well.

Rule 3: Stop smoking. Yes, it’s that simple. If the countless illnesses that smoking can bring you are not enough, consider, that every time you smoke you are destroying your skin and it makes you look older (not wiser, don’t mistake those two). The smoke that you so eagerly intake narrows the tiny blood vessels just under your skin and as a result the blood flow is severely decreased. This causes the skin to lose elasticity and pigmentation, it makes your skin dry and often leads to eczemas, rashes, itches and worst of all – it will slow the healing process of any wound you might have. So quit this pointless money consuming habit at once and save your skin.

Rule 4: Stay away from stress. Yes we understand how hard this is, but many researches suggest that stress is enabling skin problems. Some people even develop rashes, acne and many other skin problems when they are under stress. So as hard as it sounds, please try to keep stress at a minimum. You can even try some stress relief activities like yoga or sports.

Rule 5: Quit your quest of finding imperfections to your body. There is no such thing as perfect skin. It is not designed to be perfect and even the models you see on the covers of magazines don’t have perfect skin. So don’t look your skin under x20 mirror, because you will always find something you don’t like. Furthermore if you keep picking frantically at your skin soon the imperfections you are trying to hide, will appear on your skin, and everyone will see them, not just you in the x20 mirror. So get rid of this dreadful magnifying mirror and use a regular one.
